Growing up with a single, working mother and a father in prison, I learned that our economic and legal systems treat some families better than others. I entered law in order to stand with those being harmed by our current systems. I’m entering politics for the same reason.
I come from a working-class family in Waldheim, just north of Saskatoon, and have been a practicing lawyer since 2016. My legal work has focused on advocating for workers, prisoners, tenants, and those exercising their constitutional rights in a way which upsets governments. For five years, I have lived near Regina’s downtown with my wife Heather, our dog Jinny, and our cat Tiiki. I love Regina for its warm, welcoming people and strong sense of community. Regina’s community is built by events like the Regina Folk Festival, as well as by innovative local businesses and tight-knit neighbourhoods like those scattered throughout Ward 6.
I look forward to furthering these values at City Council as I represent Ward 6.
